Have you ever searched the web for the truth only to find thousands of threads of comments that literally suck the truth out of the original statement or facts that were given? Message boards, blogs, chats, myspace, guestbooks, comment threads, topic threads, etc. have watered down the truth and brought the chosen preacher, teacher, evangelist, prophet, apostle, down to the level of a babe in Christ. The babe in Christ now has an equally powerful voice and platform and can reduce "Thus saith the Lord" down to "Well, I feel that...." or "In my opinion....!" Where is sound doctrine? All it takes is for someone to feel a certain way about something and that feeling becomes valid if others read it and agree also? What is going on people? Where is the voice of God and the Word of God? Why is it that so many people are opening their ministries up to endless blog and comment pages?
We have found that a lot of people don't even want to visit a site or read what a true minister has to say if they can't comment on it and voice their opinion. But when did it become about opinion? People like Oprah Winfrey and others have made the opinion "the new gospel" and have taken the bible and the concept of religion and redefined it. Oprah believes that she can interpret the bible with her own logic and live accordingly. Put this on television and get millions of Christian women to watch it regularly and what do you get? You get a nation full of pseudo believers that interpret the bible based on their opinions and feelings, rather than following it to the letter. The Gospel then becomes subject to the rules of man and loses it's place in the lives of the very ones it was written for.
Also, needy Gospel Recording Artists and Famous Preachers are notorious for this concept. They want people to come to sites and talk about them. They want the comments just to hear people talk about them and many of them depend on the vibe of the people to know the next move they should make concerning their career. The people drive them and the comments on their blogs, myspace, and guestbooks feed their desire to be seen, known, and loved by their fans. But this is getting real messy people. Now, you can get slander, gossip, dirt, and all kinds of lies, with no research done at all, on these artists and preachers pages. People are chiming in and saying whatever they want to say and the artists are hosting it. For the sake of feeling loved or popular, very damaging comments, opinions, and the like are being hosting on the sites that are suppose to be preaching the Gospel of Jesus! Now, the sinners are voicing their opinions on these same blogs. We are losing our ground with them and positioning ourselves as a church, to be spiritually impotent because of these glory seeking ministers that need the opinion of people to feel validated!
There is a secular Hip Hop online magazine called Media Take Out and they have written about a Gospel Singer. He apparently has a song out where he is using profanity and all kinds of explicit language. I even hear that he has threatened me about attacking the song, but frankly, I have never heard the song, or even know what the song is about. But on this media take out article, they are accusing him of coming out of the closet in the song. I was surprised when I saw the comments after the article. Sinners where disturbed and shaken over the fact that the church would even let this guy do his thing in the church! I was shocked that the so called "world" that we are suppose to be reaching and evangelizing were the ones that weren't fooled. They were saying that they knew all along! What has happened to us? Now the world is feeling like the church is desperate for attention? Come on people
Eph. 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph. 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph. 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Eph. 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph. 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
We as a church are beginning to lose our voice. We are being weakened by the glory seeking, self promoting voices of those that are using the platform of God for selfish motives. They are using God as their gimmick and using church folks as their fools. We know church people may seem gullible because of our acceptance of the supernatural occurrences in our lives and the supernatural change that God gives us, but does that mean we should be targeted by deceivers that want to use us for their own selfish ambitions? Just because you were molested, raped, abandoned, abused, etc. does that mean that the church should feel sorry for you and allow you to infect the body of Christ with your pain? But it's like the pied piper drawing the town children to himself by playing the music they enjoyed. We are losing our kids for the sake of entertainment and losing the sinners for the sake of self validation and false security. The 5 fold ministry is being silenced by the 5 fold ministry of the flesh. Homosexuals, self promoters, pleasure seekers, glory seekers and gain seekers are now setting themselves up in the church, in place of those that God has truly called. Now, if you have talent, can sing, or entertain, you will be lifted up and celebrated. We will give you awards and honors, put you on the largest platforms, and then label you a Man or Woman of God without questioning your motives or devotion to the Word of God. And even if you start cursing, cross dressing, or using your platform to expose yourself, we will still believe that your talent is salvageable and we should "overlook" your obscene behavior for the sake of your ability to entertain. Who does that sound like? Lucifer!!!
Is. 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
